Forbes.com hires a New York regional sales manager; ShareBuilder taps Coremetrics; JC Whitney chooses an SEM firm.
Forbes.com hired Todd Benedict as regional sales manager in the New York office, with responsibility for accounts in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Benedict joins Forbes.com from TheStreet.com where he was regional director of ad sales. Before that he was account manager at the WSJ.com.
Online brokerage ShareBuilder Securities will use Coremetrics’ “Online Analytics for Financial Services” product. ShareBuilder aims to use the platform to analyze how different online content impacts conversion ratios and overall site usability.
Auto parts direct marketer JC Whitney tapped SEM firm Oneupweb for search marketing and optimization. “Oneupweb won our business because of their straightforward approach to driving and measuring search engine marketing results,” said Brian Marcus, Internet marketing manager for JC Whitney.
Herbalife International, a provider of weight loss supplements, will use WebSideStory’s HBX to improve lead generation and optimize site content on its distributor portals.
Herbalife’s network of online portals supports its independent distributors, who use the Web sites to order products, read articles, view training and product videos. HBX will replace unwieldy lead generation procedures and enhance site optimization.
IronPort Systems, Altiris and Ximeta tapped communications firm Bite Communications as their public relations agency of record. IronPort provides email infrastructure products and services; Altiris manufactures IT lifecycle management software; and Ximeta produces networking and media storage device.
