ViTrue gets Lightningcast vet; PureVideo taps Kelly as VP of Sales; MWW Group names Bartholomew GM in Dallas; Tacoda picks Polos for VP of inside ad sales.

User-created ad platform provider ViTrue has named Bill Jennings as chief revenue officer. Jennings will be responsible for heading up the firm’s sales efforts as well as launching its New York operation. Before joining ViTrue, the exec had stints as CRO at Lightningcast and VP of new media and business development at A&E Television Networks, working with brands including AOL, Fox Networks and Proctor & Gamble.

PureVideo Networks has hired Carrie Kelly as its new VP of Sales. Kelly previously served as VP of search marketing for Ask.com. The user-generated video firm, publisher of StupidVideos.com and GrindTV.com, has also awarded the director of sales position to Barbara Read, former advertising director at Choice Media.

PR firm MWW Group has brought on industry vet Don Bartholomew as general manager in its newly-opened Dallas office. Bartholomew comes from GCI Group, where he most recently held roles as EVP of its technology practice and EVP of director research and measurement. Bartholomew has served in the communications industry for 20-some years, representing brands such as Bayer, Motorola and Whole Foods Market at firms including Alexander Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide and McCann-Ericsson.

Behavioral targeting firm Tacoda has placed Christopher Polos in its newly-created VP of inside advertising sales position at its New York headquarters. Polos most recently comes from VeriSign where he served as director, business development, Real-Time Publishing Services, along with other earlier-held positions.

RealNetworks has picked Matt Rowlen as its VP of consumer business development. The company has also promoted Tracy Daw to VP of corporate development and associate general counsel, and Bill Way to VP and deputy general counsel.

Event firm Live Nation has chosen Michael Abrams to wire its 120 venue and festival sites, serving in the new position of president of Live Nation Studios. Abrams, who formerly served as VP of product development with the company is also charged with developing content distribution opportunities for mobile, broadband, IPTV, DVD and other formats.

Burst Media has scored Reed Elsevier Group’s business division Reed Business as a new client. Reed will employ Burst’s ad management platform AdConductor to enable campaign targeting, order entry, campaign management, and ad trafficking.

E-mail marketing outfit BrightWave Marketing has added business process outsourcing firm Affiliated Computer Services as a new client. The e-mail company will manage the e-mail marketing programs Affiliated handles for Georgia Health Partnership’s Medicaid program.

Marketing and communications firm Boston Communications has formed a strategic alliance with interactive marketing firm Piehead Productions in order to enhance Boston’s interactive marketing capabilities.
