The New York Times switches to Revenue Science and Rapt; Keen taps Forty Forty for integrated campaign; Organic hires ECD in New York.
The New York Times tapped Revenue Science for behavioral targeting and Rapt for advertising yield management. The newspaper will use Revenue Science for nytimes.com, boston.com, iht.com, and about.com. The Times is switching from using Tacoda, due to that firm’s shift from site-side behavioral targeting solution to a networked approach. Separately, the Times will also use Rapt’s advertising yield management platform across NYTimes.com.
Organic hired Marc Garbarini as executive creative director in New York. The digital agency also promoted Conor Brady to executive creative director in New York and Sam Cannon to executive creative director in Detroit. Garbarini was previously creative director and vice president at Digitas in New York. Both Brady and Cannon were previously group creative directors.
Liz Claiborne selected Responsys for e-mail campaigns. The beauty and fashion retailer will use the Responsys Interact platform to target shoppers.
WorldNow named Adam Gordon chief revenue officer of WorldNow’s Local Media Network. The firm hired Gordon for a position with the interactive sales division of Thomson Corporation.
Yahoo7 signed a three-year mobile agreement with m.Net Corporation in Australia. M.Net will distribute content from Yahoo7, Seven Network, and Pacific Magazines, with a focus on video. Yahoo7 is a partnership between the Seven Network Limited and Yahoo.
BabyCenter named Steven Friedman VP and publisher, BabyCenter Network and Affiliate Sales. The online resource for expectant and new moms hired Friedman from AOL, where he was vice president and publisher of AOL’s Weblogs, Inc.
Keen Footwear tapped Forty Forty for an integrated consumer marketing program. Called Hybrid.Stand, the campaign consists of a three-category contest, a college campus tour, a series of print and Web advertisements and a documentary, developed by the agency.
SubscriberMail named William Leming vice president, strategic services. Leming joined the e-mail marketing company from Strategic Marketing Group where he was managing director and founding partner.
Medio Systems acquired mobile advertising provider Suhari. The provider of mobile search and advertising systems acquired the mobile advertising firm for an undisclosed sum.
Revver named Marc Hernandez VP of advertising sales. The online video marketplace hired Hernandez from Tribal Fusion where he led its Entertainment Vertical division.
Online lead generation and Web services company Yodle named Iggy Fanlo to its advisory board. Fanlo is CEO of AdBrite and the former president of Shopping.com.
United Airlines selected Studiocom for a Web-based tutorial. The digital agency created the tutorial to teach travelers “how to fly” using new features offered by the airline.
