Hearst Magazines title SHOP Etc. tapped Interevco to represent online ad inventory on its Web site at Shopetc.com. Recent advertisers include Neiman Marcus and e-commerce site Topbutton.com.

J.L. Halsey, which this week , hired Peter Biro as VP of corporate development and planning. Biro was founder and managing partner of The Cowper Group, a Boston consulting firm.

Fuel Industries hired Brady Gilchrist as EVP of strategy and head of BlueScience, its new creative strategy and research division. Gilchrist was most recently with GJP Advertising, where he built the online practice.

Burst Media hired Charles Cahill as an account executive in its Detroit office. He previously held Detroit sales leadership posts with Root Markets, Claria and Cox.

Tacoda hired Cord Dover as director of Southwest ad sales in Austin and Nick Allen as Northwest sales manager in San Francisco. Both are new positions. Dover joins from Tickle.com/Monster Worldwide, Allen from Advertising.com.

AdECN, an auction-based ad exchange, added three members to its network. They include AMS Global Online, A Simple Internet, and Sierra Group Marketing.

Bazaarvoice, which enables reviews and ratings on the Web sites of online merchants, picked up Macy’s as a customer. Visitors to Macys.com will be able to comment on products while at the site. It’s the first multi-channel retailer to join Bazaarvoice stable of clients.
