Bubblicious tries avatars; LinkShare adds 32 merchants in Q2; WebTrends names sales execs.

Bubblicious created an avatar using technology from Oddcast. RMG Connect animated four characters that Web site users can animate and cause to speak in their own voice by dialing an 800 number and leaving a message.

LinkShare added 32 merchants to its network in the second quarter. They include Avon Canada, Canadian Tire, Enterprise Car Sales and Figleaves.com.

WebTrends hired Scott Foernsler as VP of worldwide sales and promoted Nick Sharp to VP and GM of Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Foernsler has worked for DoubleClick and Siebel Systems in executive sales roles.
