NYT Co. promotes Myers to head media group; Tribune Interactive hires Hess to VP of strategic marketing; Yahoo! names executive to lead new East Coast research center.
NYT Co. promotes Myers to head media group; Tribune Interactive hires Hess to VP of strategic marketing; Yahoo! names executive to lead new East Coast research center.
The New York Times promoted VP of Marketing Services Alyse Myers to SVP and CMO for its media group. To fill her shoes, the company named Laura Langdon, executive group director for creative services, and Helen Seligman, ED for advertising and promotion, to lead its marketing services division.
Tribune Interactive hired Daniel Hess as VP of strategic marketing, a newly created post. Hess previously led comScore’s corporate marketing efforts.
Yahoo hired Dr. Ron Brachman to head a new research center on the East Coast. Brachman, who’s title will be VP of worldwide research operations, joins from DARPA and AT&T Labs.
AzoogleAds named Randy Nicolau to helm the company as CEO. Nicolau joined in March as COO, prior to which he was president of the Playboy Entertainment Group and a director on Playboy.com’s board.
Don Mathis, formerly SVP of technology, will move into the vacated COO spot. Meanwhile, Richard Okin, a former Linkshare executive, was hired to be chief information officer.
StrongMail hired Bill Wagner as VP of marketing. Wagner spent 10 years with BEA Systems in various senior posts.
WebSourced will provide pro bono Web optimization for the Army National Guard’s recruiting site. The work on 1-800-GO-GUARD.com comes through a partnership with Owens Advertising in Arlington, Virginia.
