CBS Interactive hired Michael Marquez as VP of strategy and corporate development. Marquez was director of corporate development for Yahoo, where he was involved with acquisitions, investments and other strategic moves. While there, he had a hand in the purchases of Oddpost, Verdisoft, del.icio.us, Bix and Jumpcut.

The Huffington Post hired Advertising.com’s chief of publisher services, Jim Smith, as chief revenue officer. He’ll oversee ad sales, including the company’s relationship with IAC Advertising Solutions to represent its inventory. Prior to Advertising.com, Smith was SVP of partner alliances for AOL Media Networks.

Cheapflights.com hired two senior staffers. Carl Schwartz joins as director of marketing, and Lucia Page comes on as manager of advertising operations.

Pulse 360 signed sponsored text listing distribution deals with 50 sites. They include IMDb.com, NBC4.TV, TheOnlineInvestor.com, StreetIQ.com, PhotoReflect.com, Diet.com, DowneLink.com and ChaCha.com.

David Link and Joe McCambley have teamed up to launch the Wonder Factory, a new digital agency based in New York. The two held creative leadership roles at Modem Media.

Reprise Media hired one and promoted three. Dan Kashman, formerly of ROOT Markets, joins as VP of corporate development. Among those promoted are Joel Lapp, to VP of account services; John Chan, to associate director of media; and Christine King, to associate director of client services.

NBC Universal promoted J.B. Perrette to president of digital distribution, effective immediately. He previously served as SVP of new media distribution.

Bay Area integrated agency Eleven named Courtney Buechert as president and partner. He joins from McCann Erickson San Francisco, where he was EVP and general manager since 2001.
