Neopolitan Networks promotes Basilio Amaro to vice president of marketing; Creative Cow taps Antarra for public relations; Rob Chandra steps down from database marketer infoUSA's board

Broadband provider Neopolitan Networks has promoted Basilio Amaro from director of marketing to vice president of marketing. Prior to Neopolitan Networks, Amaro held positions at Extreme Networks, Silicon Graphics, Intel, and SynOptics Communications.

“The role is a natural progression for Basilio. Under his leadership we have had remarkable brand extension, and our marketing programs have been extremely successful,” said Frank Robles, Neopolitan’s CEO.

Amaro will build awareness for Neopolitan, overseeing existing programs and creating new marketing initiatives.

Creative Cow, a Web support and training provider for media pros, has selected Antarra Communications as its public relations agency of record. In the near-term, Antarra will provide a communications program for the Creative Cow West 2003 Show in Los Angeles.

“Creative Cow has vast media industry experience. Combine that with Antarra’s experience as well as their innate ability to hit the ground running and we should do well together,” said Kathlyn Lindeboom, CEO of Creative Cow.

Rob Chandra has stepped down from database marketer infoUSA’s board of directors. Chandra resigned due to increasing demands from his position as partner at Bessamer Venture Partners in San Mateo, Calif. Vin Gupta, chairman and CEO of infoUSA, commented, “We respect Rob’s decision and greatly appreciate his contribution to our Board of Directors over the past two years.”
