Modem Media gets MD for West; Schwartzfarb joins Business.com; and Outrider wins client.

Modem Media hired Brian Powley as EVP and managing director of Modem Media West, starting in January. Powley was most recently managing director, West, at MRM Worldwide.

Business.com promoted Todd Sims to VP of business and corporate development and hired Amos Schwartzfarb as VP of sales and client services. Sims was previously VP of sales. Schwartzfarb spent five years at Yahoo HotJobs.

MyPoints.com tapped St. Louis-based Outrider to handle its search engine marketing. The client is a shopping reward site.
