InStream taps West Coast sales director; Y2M opens new office and IAB Canada names board.

Streaming video ad network InStream hired Eric Orrantia as director of West Coast sales. He previously handled Advertising.com’s sales efforts for the same region.

Y2M: Youth Media and Marketing Networks, which targets college students and recent graduates, hired Jill Higson to lead its new office in New York. She was director of sales for Datran Media. Also in the office will be account manager Brian Liebler.

The Interactive Advertising Bureau of Canada named its board of directors for 2006. Patrick Lauzon of Sympatico/MSN will be chairman. The group also created a new emerging platforms council, which will be led by Peter Vaz of M2 Universal.

Speaking of Canadian Web marketing, Calgary-based agency Rare Method added several clients. Wins include CSI Wireless, Avocent Corporation and CDOC.

Ziff Davis promoted Elaine Ebner to VP of corporate sales. She has held various sales roles over 12 years with the company.
