American Greetings digital unit hires in ad sales; new digital talent and content development firm launches.
American Greetings digital unit AG Interactive hired Ned Newhouse and Steve Alessi to its ad sales team. Newhouse will be SVP of ad sales. Alessi joins as East Coast sales director.
A new talent management agency and content development firm has launched. Generate will start out providing MTV Networks with programming for its cable, broadband and wireless channels. It will be led by Jordan Levin, Pete Aronson, Mike Karz, Dave Rath and Kara Welker.
Digital Pulp assisted in the development of a new site for Science Magazine, which is owned by The American Association for the Advancement of Science. The project included branding and strategy consulting.
Operative, a provider of ad operations infrastructure to publishers and agencies, hired Geoff Petkus as senior director of product management. Petkus was most recently director of sales development at IAC/InterActive Corporation.
Video sales and syndication player Broadband Enterprises hired Danny Fishman as president. Fishman was EVP of sales at iFilm, where he oversaw all advertising and entertainment marketing sales and operations.
Vizion Interactive hired Shana Barkley as VP of sales and marketing. She was previously senior key account sales manager at Cox Target Media.
