John Battelle’s branding-oriented blog network, FM Publishing, will represent inventory on Digg.com and Fred Wilson’s A VC blog. The company also sells ads on BoingBoing, Om Malik’s blog and Jeff Jarvis’ BuzzMachine.

The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) appointed Sheryl Draizen as SVP and general manager. Draizen has been a regular consultant to the IAB, by turns helming events and marketing for the association. She founded Straight Up, a strategic marketing firm. Earlier, she ran Guggenheim.com, a for-profit unit of the Guggenheim Foundation.

Rare Method named Scott Sarjeant to its board of directors. Sarjeant is the president and CEO of Premiax Financial Corp.

U.S.-based mobile video advertising enabler Rhythm NewMedia has hired Stephen Upstone to lead its new U.K. operation. Upstone was business development director of Touch Clarity.

MediaSpan tapped Eonstreams to handle ad insertion for its streaming network of 1,500 local radio stations. The platform is called FastAim.

Video download service Vongo tapped Dynamics Direct to handle all its email communications. The assignment covers both transactional and marketing messages.
