Paint manufacturer Benjamin Moore named AKQA interactive agency of record.

TheStreet.com tapped interactive agency HUGE to redesign its Web site.

The Wall Street Journal Digital Network named Matt Goldberg senior vice president of digital strategy and operations. Goldberg was promoted from his position as vice president of franchise development and partnerships for the Dow Jones Consumer Media Group.

The Washington Post Company named Katharine Weymouth chief executive of Washington Post Media. The new division will oversee The Washington Post newspaper and washingtonpost.com.

Universal Music Group selected Special Ops Media as its interactive agency of record.

Digital marketing firm Eyeblaster appointed Michael Kelly as chairman of its board. Kelly is the former president of AOL Media Networks.

BDMetrics named Dan Fowler chief revenue officer. Fowler was senior vice president of sales at AOL Media Networks before joining the personalization technology firm.

R/GA hired Jana Geary as group director, production. The agency created the position for Geary, who will be located in its London office. Geary was previously the head of digital production for OgilvyOne in London.

Marriott tapped Awareness to launch its blog community Marriott in the Kitchen. It’s the second community launched by Awareness, formerly iUpload.

Rapp Collins Worldwide promoted Robert Horvath to global CEO. Horvath was previously the CEO of the North American operation of the marketing agency, and succeeds Gary Von Kennel in the post.

Wizzard Media hired Paul Kholodny as an advertising sales representative. Kholodny will be based in the podcasting network’s New York office.
