Eyeblaster hires a creative director; Gail McGovern joins Digitas board; Blue Sky Factory to provide pro bono e-mail management to Ad Council.
Eyeblaster hired Doug Miller as creative director. Miller was the creative director and founder of CUBiC digital, an interactive advertising consultancy whose client list included TBWA/Chiat/Day, Hill Holiday, and FCBi. He also held associate creative director and art director positions at i-traffic and Ogilvy One, respectively.
The appointment follows Eyeblaster’s hiring of Masha Geller as director of marketing earlier this week.
Digitas named Gail McGovern to its board of directors. McGovern is professor of management practice at Harvard Business School, and was twice recognized by Fortune magazine as one of the most powerful women in corporate America. Before joining Harvard in June 2002, she was president of Fidelity Personal Investments and EVP of the consumer markets division at AT&T.
Blue Sky Factory will power The Advertising Council’s email marketing campaigns. The agency will donate the use of its proprietary Publicaster application to the public service organization for broadcasting communications to its key constituents. Blue Sky Factory said it would also ensure The Ad Council is in compliance with CAN-SPAM.
“We are incredibly grateful to Blue Sky Factory for donating their technology which will enhance our communication with media outlets, the public and our constituents,” said Barbara Shimaitis, SVP of interactive services for The Ad Council.
