AKQA's O'Dell and Pereira start their own agency; Acxiom names John Meyer CEO and president; Hachette Filipacchi Media U.S. hires Todd Anderman from Maxim Digital.

Two AKQA San Francisco execs left to start their own agency. ECD PJ Pereira and President of Interactive Advertising Andrew O’Dell will found a still-unnamed firm.

Acxiom named John Meyer CEO and president. The marketing technology firm hired Meyer from Alcatel-Lucent where he was president of the global services group.

Hachette Filipacchi Media U.S. hired Todd Anderman as SVP digital media.Anderman was formerly president of Maxim Digital.

Vibrant Media hired John Sedlak as SVP media sales. Before joining the contextual video advertising network Sedlak was AOL’s regional vice president overseeing advertising sales.

ValueClick promoted three execs. The integrated marketing company promoted Kerri Pollard to general manager of affiliate marketing services firm Commission Junction, Ann Hoey to general manager of Mediaplex and Sean Quick to general manager of Mediaplex Systems.

VisitBritain named TequilaNew York its agency of record in the U.S. The national tourist office for England, Scotland and Wales tasked the agency, a division of TBWA Worldwide, with online and offline promotions.

The White Agency promoted Kristen Holden to head of search.Holden was previously search engine marketing manager for the Australia-based agency.

Nestle USA and Vertical Branding both selected XLNTads for brand-sponsored campaigns. The network of semi-professional videographers and consumer ad creators will provide content for Nestle’s 100 Grand Bar and Unilever’s SlimFast product.

United States Marine Corps tapped RMG Connect for its Web site redesign. JWT’s global digital and relationship marketing network updated the existing Marines.com site, to a new Our.Marines.com site with testimonials and videos.

Sharper Image signed on with Epsilon and Alliance Data for marketing services. Epsilon and its parent company Alliance Data will design, coordinate and execute a targeted e-mail communications campaigns.
