Ed Keller founds new word of mouth firm; The Boston Globe names a head of strategic planning; Jets tap AKQA.
Ed Keller, former CEO of Roper ASW and author of The Influentials, has launched a new word-of-mouth marketing company with partner Brad Fray. Called Keller Fay Group, the firm offers a measurement product called TalkTrack. Starcom MediaVest Group is the first client.
The Boston Globe named Jay Fogarty VP of strategic planning for Boston Globe Media. Fogarty was VP of sales and business development at Interland, a provider of online and application services to small business.
The New York Jets tapped AKQA to handle interactive marketing and Web development for the team. The agency will redesign the Jets’ online presence, including an online store and “Generation Jets” site for kids.
Silicon Valley agency Coakley Heagerty hired Tomas Zazueta as VP of digital marketing. Zazueta spent three years with eBay as project manager and manager of work-flow applications.
Interpublic Group hired Bant Breen as SVP and director of strategic development and innovation. Breen most recently ran his own consultancy, before which he spent five years at Leo Burnett Worldwide.
Integrated creative agency ATTIK hired Paul Miller as design director. Miller was AKQA’s design director in charge of online media. Client work there included design for Smithsonian Institute, Harley Davidson, AT&T and Greenpeace.
J.L. Halsey, whose holdings include Lyris and EmailLabs, hired Robb Wilson as VP of technology. Wilson founded email deliverability firm Piper Software.
