Nancy Marzouk joined X+1 as VP of media sales. Marzouk was previously senior director of strategic development and partnerships at DRIVEpm. Prior to DRIVEpm she was senior director of national client sales at IAC.

Eloqua named Joseph Payne CEO. Payne was president and COO of iDefense, which was acquired by VeriSign. His previous experience includes time as president and CEO of eSecurity, and eGrail. Payne also joins the company’s board of directors.

Lowe’s tapped BrightWave to advise and consult on its e-mail marketing programs. Brightwave handles e-mail marketing and customer relationship services.

CleverSet names Barry Gilbert to its board of directors. Gilbert is the former CEO of Smith & Hawken and was previously COO of Sharper Image. CleverSet also closed on $2 million in funding, which it will use to enhance its merchandise recommendations technology.

Tribeca Enterprises, parent company to the Tribeca Film Festival, hired Special Ops Media as its interactive marketing consultant. The agency will draft an advertising and marketing strategy for the Tribeca Film Festival’s Web site.

Powered Inc. appointed Ron Green as CTO. He will be responsible for product design, architecture and development. Green’s 14 years of experience include work at Question Technologies, Living.com, and Orillion.

AdMob recruited Yahoo Mobile Asia’s former GM to its executive team. Niren Hiro joined as VP of business development, responsible for the company’s global carrier, brand, and media partnerships in the Americas, Europe, and Asia.

CBS Interactive promoted Steven Snyder to COO. Snyder previously served as SVP and GM of CBS SportsLine.com. CBS Interactive is a newly-formed division of CBS Corp.
