BuzzMetrics hires Jupiter's Stein; AdStar hires Amazon's ad operations head.

BuzzMetrics hired JupiterResearch analyst Gary Stein to its client services division. Before joining Jupiter as an online marketing analyst, Stein was a senior strategist at interactive agency Red Sky. He’ll continue to write his ClickZ column.

AdStar hired Steve Brown as VP of business development. Brown was most recently VP of operations for the advertising and communications division of Monster Worldwide, a company he joined in 1999 when it acquired his Nolan Recruitment Advertising.

Agricultural and residential retailer QC Supply tapped Coremetrics to analyze the behavior of visitors to its site. The client will examine search behaviors and cart abandonment, among other user actions.

Loyalty Lab added Chuck Davis, chairman of shopping search engine Shopzilla, to its board. Before Shopzilla, he was president of e-commerce for The Walt Disney Company’s Internet group.

Accipiter added Wolters Kluwer Italia as a client to its AdManager hosted ad trafficking platform. The new customer is the Italian subsidiary of a Dutch publishing and software services company.
