Google vet Rajaram joins Tumri board; Digitas wins Crest Oral Care; Mediaedge:cia parts with Payless.
Tumri signed Gokul Rajaram to its board of directors. Rajaram was formerly manager of Google’s AdSense product management team before joining the online display marketing firm’s board.
Digitas won the digital business for Procter & Gamble’s Crest Oral Care brand. The unit of Publicis will manage the Crest digital account.
Mediaedge:cia will no longer manage Payless ShoeSource. The agency had handled the digital media account for five years.
LookSmart confirmed Edward West as president and chief executive officer. West had been interim president and chief executive officer of the online advertising and technology company since last August. LookSmart also named R. Brian Gibson acting chief financial officer following the departure of William Bush.
JumpTap named Evan Krauss global senior vice president, advertising sales & business development. Krauss was president and CEO of online video editing service Cuts before joining the mobile search and advertising firm.
Sapient hired Federico Montemurro as creative director. Montemurro will work in the agency’s Miami studio. He was previously creative director, southeast region at Avenue A/Razorfish.
Networked Insights named Todd Hoskins vice president of sales and business development. The market research company hired Hoskins from Umbria where he was national director of sales.
Reader’s Digest magazine named Steven Schwartz general manager of RD.com. Schwartz was tasked with growing the magazine’s Web site and online ad revenue.
Home furnishings retailer Havertys named Nurun its interactive agency of record.
Spotzer Media Group hired Tamar van de Paal as global studio head. The Amsterdam-based agency launched last year.
Undertone Networks named Peter Green senior VP of sales. Green joined the advertising network from a position as SVP of ad sales with Weather.com.
Future Now Group hired three execs. The interactive marketing firm named Brian Bond as vice president of marketing & products; Glen Tsurumoto as interactive practice leader and Brian Kotek as director of software engineering.
Decision Tree Media hired Gary Cornick as chief executive officer. Cornick was the founder and CEO of PeopleWise, which was acquired by LexisNexis. He will also join the online marketing firm’s board.
Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios tapped WhittmanHart Interactive to create a new American Gladiators Web site. The agency created the site as a multimedia homage to the original “American Gladiators” series.
Red Roof Inn named 360i its digital agency of record.
