Tacoda hired Larry Allen as SVP of marketing and business development. He joins from Viewpoint, where he was VP of technology and general manager of the Unicast advertising division. Earlier, he spent six years with 24/7 Real Media, most recently as VP of product management.

WebSourced changed its moniker to MarketSmart Interactive. George Douaire, COO of parent company Think Partnership, is acting executive manager for the renamed entity. Executives said the change reflects a focus on customized programs tailored to each client.

Return Path named Larry Karipides to manage sales and client development for its customer acquisition products. Karipides was VP of the interactive group for the American List Council.

At Return Path, he’ll oversee the Postmaster Direct list rental service and RSS advertising, among other things.

Integrated agency MDB resigned the American Bankers Association account to focus resources on “a range of growth opportunities.” The ABA work is worth $2 to $3 million in annual billings, the agency said.

Empower MediaMarketing hired Michael Adams as director of interactive media, a new post. Adams was regional creative director, interactive for Whittmanhart in Cincinnati.

Online direct marketing firm Netblue named Peter Adams to be its CTO. Adams was chief product and technology officer for LookSmart.

Interactive agency nurun | ant farm interactive redesigned the online presence for Hemisphere, Inc. The nonprofit client is driving Georgia’s initiative to become the headquarters of the Free Trade Areas of the Americas Secretariat.
