Google loses principal sourcer; Epsilon names Cone CMO; DoubleClick hires Mihalop for international expansion.
Google Principal Sourcer David Hirsch left the company. Hirsch was previously a manager for the business-to-business vertical markets team in New York, and intends to work with start-up firms. Separately, Google appointed John Liu as its China sales vice president, as reported by Reuters. Liu was formerly SK Telecom’s CEO and president in China.
Epsilon promoted Steve Cone to chief marketing officer. Cone was previously executive vice president, strategic marketing services for the marketing technologies and services firm.
DoubleClick appointed Andy Mihalop as director of search strategy for the DoubleClick Performics division. Mihalop was tasked with strategic services and consulting for clients based in Europe and Asia Pacific. He joined from Reed Business Information and is based in London.
Digitas named Heath Rudduck executive creative director. Rudduck will head the agency’s Boston office, and was previously executive creative director for TribalDDB in Australia.
Ad Infuse appointed David Staas as vice president of marketing. Staas joined the mobile advertising firm from Openwave Systems where he ran the global product marketing organization.
JWT hired Orlando Hooper-Greenhill as director of global planning. The agency created the role for Hooper-Greenhill, who will be based in London.
Federated Media hired Matt DiPietro as marketing manager.
BlogHer named Gina Garrubbo executive vice president. The women’s online networks and blog guide hired Garrubbo away from Terralina, where she was CEO and a co-founder.
Gorilla Nation named Christophe Louvion to the post of chief technology officer. The online ad rep firm hired Louvion from Shopzilla.com where he was software architect, VP of operations, and VP of product development and engineering.
Medio Systems hired two execs. The mobile search and advertising firm named Eugene M. Kuerner as vice president of engineering and Cheryl Scott as vice president of carrier deployments.
BrightWave Marketing named Steven Roe director of business development. The e-mail services firm hired Roe from KnowledgeStorm where he was a business development executive.
Coremetrics named Richard Sheppard as VP and general manager of EMEA. The digital marketing firm hired Sheppard from a position of CEO of U.K. hosting company, 7global.
