NYTimes.com has made several hires.
Nicholas Ascheim joins as a product manager for the movies and theater verticals. Ascheim was CEO of The Square, a networking and dating Web site, and has also worked for ActiveBuddy, FoxNews.com and ABC News.
Christine Mohan has been named associate director of product development and industry relations for the site, managing distribution, RSS and wireless initiatives as well as local search. She has served as senior manager of public relations for The New York Times Company since 2000 and was the marketing director for Abuzz Technologies.
Kristi Reilly, formerly a senior information architect at Roundarch, joins as information architect.
24/7 Real Media hired Robert Tas as senior VP of tech solutions in North America. Tas joins 24/7 from Tacoda Systems, where he was VP of sales and marketing, and he has held executive positions eGain Communications, Finjan, Netiva Software, Commerce One and Sybase.
Primedia’s About.com hired Lisa Abourezk as director of marketing and Ken Kantor as senior director of circulation and audience management. Abourezk managed online programs for BusinessWeek, CBS Early Show, and Chic Simple. Kantor was director of marketing and product development for Time Inc.
InfoSpace hired Hank Skorny as VP of product management and marketing for InfoSpace Mobile, leading a team that will seek to leverage wireless content. Skorny was most recently general manager of AOL Mobile. He also directed product management for Adobe Systems and managed product groups for Microsoft and Apple.
“The mobile media market is booming right now, and InfoSpace, with its extensive content library, strong carrier relationships and broad subscriber reach, is well-positioned to capitalize on the opportunity,” said Skorny.”
