Autobytel hires former AOL Search exec; Nurun acquires Madrid-based Crazy Labs; Dynamic Logic's Nyhan takes broader role.

Autobytel hired AOL Search and Switchboard.com veteran Mark Canon as chief product officer, a new position. At AOL Search, Canon was VP of product strategy and development, with oversight of search, video, local and e-commerce development projects.

Nurun acquired Madrid-based interactive communications agency Crazy Labs. Crazy Labs employs 37 and counts Caja Madrid, Grupo Telefónica, Procter & Gamble, Nintendo, Vodafone and Warner Brothers among its clients. Nurun is a subsidiary of Quebecor Media and in the U.S. is known as nurun ant farm interactive.

Dynamic Logic promoted Jean Robinson to president. Robinson joined the company in 2002 as chief financial officer, prior to which she worked for Jupiter Media Metrix. The former president, Nick Nyhan, will become managing director of Milward Brown’s Futures Group.

Experclick promoted Scott Estes from VP of account management to SVP. He was previously director of search advertising at ValueClick.

PodTech has acquired Geek Entertainment TV and brought on its video star Irina Slutsky.

Miva hired Brian Mukherjee as SVP, North America, a new post. He joins from enterprise software firm Selectica.

Forge Corporation has acquired Jim Kukral’s BlogKits and named Kukral to the post of VP of branding and marketing. In the role he’ll recruit and educate new bloggers to the BlogKits affiliate network.

Digital and viral marketing firm Pod Digital Design hired Jessica Morris as online communication specialist. Morris, whose background is in PR, is tasked with ensuring the agency’s promotions reach the appropriate target audiences.
