Online marketer MECA Communications hired Andrew Darrow as chief strategy officer. Darrow was most recently VP of Broadway Video Enterprises, where he directed strategic planning for domestic exploitation of Saturday Night Live. Earlier, he was VP of NBC Enterprises, overseeing strategic planning for the network’s home video, music and other content. He also held executive posts with A&R at MCA Records and in artist management at Overland Productions.
“Andy is a rare individual who possesses a strong business background combined with wonderfully diverse expertise in the launching of broad based initiatives,” said MECA President Bruce Klickstein.
U.K. TV network ITV tapped Accipiter’s AdBureau for online ad management. ITV said it was drawn to AdBureau’s ability to support multiple rich media formats. The network has made increasing use of the Web to create tie-ins to its reality programming.
New York-based Squeaky Wheel Media built a new online presence for client MortgageLine.com. The site features online loan applications, debt consolidation and home refinance information, as well as a “customer learning center.”
