New VP/GM for AOL Black Voices; Marvel taps Icon for online ad representation; Yahoo! hires another TV head.

America Online hired Janet Rollé as VP and GM of AOL Black Voices. Rollé was VP of programming and business development for VH1 and CMT at MTV Networks. Earlier she held director-level posts with HBO Home Video.

Marvel Enterprises tapped ICON Advertising Solutions to rep its inventory on Marvel.com. The site features information and news on Marvel comic book titles and characters.

Yahoo hired a veteran CBS exec to oversee its sports and entertainment sites. David Katz will have oversight of Yahoo Sports, Yahoo Entertainment, Yahoo Movies and Yahoo TV. He led CBS Television’s strategic planning and interactive ventures units, and earlier was a management consultant for McKinsey & Company.

Fathom Online hired Mike Goos as VP of product management and Steve Gillan as CFO. In the last quarter, three other execs have joined: COO Dennis Adsit, Sales Director Adam Gelles, and channel management VP Gregg Stewart.
