NBC Universal names Peter Naylor to head digital sales; MEC Interaction promotes Borenstein, hires Shlachter; Tacoda adds two from ValueClick.
NBC Universal hired Peter Naylor for a newly created position, oversight of all digital media sales. Naylor was SVP of sales for iVillage, prior to which he led Eastern sales and agency relations for Terra Lycos. He’s also a board member of the IAB, the OPA, and New York ad club 212.
MEC Interaction promoted associate director Jennifer Borenstein to director of strategy and insights across North America, and hired Adam Shlachter as partner and group media director. Shlachter joins from Starwood Hotels & Resorts.
Tacoda hired Steven Stein as manager of Northwest ad sales and Hedieh Doffo as sales development manager. Both previously held account management roles at ValueClick.
Klipmart named Becca Ratcliffe to head its new London office. She joins from Grey London, where she was an account manager. Ratcliffe did an earlier stint for Klipmart in New York.
aQuantive’s Atlas ad technology unit promoted Karl Siebrecht to president. He was previously SVP and general manager of Atlas Enterprise, and has been with the company for seven years.
Atlanta-based digital marketing firm Think Interactive hired Linnea McAlvin as online media manager and Erik Fields as user experience architect. McAlvin joins from Breathe Interactive, Fields from e.magination.
JUNGLE 8 /creative signed three new clients for interactive design and brand development for both Web and print. They include L.A. interior design firm Samperton & Hackathorn, author Chip Jacobs, and massage therapy company pureBODYWORK.
White Horse also picked up a slew of new business. Recently added clients include Pacific Interpreters, David Evans and Associates, Kaufmanns’ Streamborn, PPM Energy, PacificSource Health Plans, and Protection One.
Nine Systems, a rich media delivery firm, hired Rob Green as SVP of business development and strategy, and John Walpuck as CFO. Green was previously group manager of business development for Microsoft.
NetShelter doubled the number of sites in its ad network in the last month, to 26. New sites in the company’s NetShelter Branded Network include Mobiledia.com, PalmInfoCenter.com, Digit-Life.com and SpotStop.com.
