Yahoo!'s Richardson joins Dow Jones Online; Studiocom adds big clients; LookSmart finds chair in West.

Dow Jones & Company hired former Yahoo Finance GM Nathan Richardson as SVP and general manager of Dow Jones Online. He’ll have oversight of The Wall Street Journal Online, MarketWatch, Barron’s Online and other Journal-branded Web sites. Richardson has been with Yahoo since 2000, when he joined as a business development manager.

Interactive agency Studiocom recently added Sony Pictures Digital, 20th Century Fox and Miller Brewing as clients. Sony tapped Studiocom for, among other things, its knowledge of the Latin American market.

LookSmart named Sage Partners Managing Director Ted West to chair its board. West, who has served on the board for four years, replaces Teresa Dial. Dial has accepted a post with Lloyds TSB in London, but will retain a director seat.

Alta Vista founder Louis Monier has joined Google’s technical team in an as yet undefined role. For the past several years, Monier has served eBay as director of its advanced technology group.

The Mammoth Mountain Resort in Mammoth Lakes, Calif. will use Lyris’ ListManager email marketing software. The platform will support Mammoth Mountain’s retail, rental and resort events mailings.
