TiVo names a CEO; Gartner hires Denhup to direct search strategy; AKQA gets palmOne campaign.

TiVo named Vice Chairman Tom Rogers to lead the company as President and CEO, effective later this week. Rogers, the former Chairman/CEO of Primedia, succeeds Mike Ramsay, who announced his departure earlier this year.

Gartner hired Paul Denhup as director of search strategy for its Web-based offerings. Denhup was manager of SEO for IPG’s Wahlstrom Interactive and director of search at Modem Media/Digitas.

AKQA launched an online campaign for palmOne’s LifeDrive mobile media platform and personal organizer. Rich media placements on tech and news sites will target 35- to 54-year-olds.

Fathom hired three execs. Dennis Adsit comes on as COO. Adam Gelles joins as director of sales and solutions. Gregg Stewart was named SVP of channel management.

BlueLithium hired Frank Guzzardo as VP of Eastern sales. Guzzardo was Eastern region sales manager for ValueClick Media and associate publisher at Business Finance Magazine.
