Critical Mass named Heidi Skinner as director of emerging media. Omnicom’s interactive services firm created the position for Skinner, who is tasked with focusing on mobile, gaming, community, and video on demand platforms.

Federated Media hired Frank Leahy as director of engineering. The network for publishing and marketing services hired Leahy from his position as director of engineering at Genius.com.

Datran Media has invested in MadeforChina to expand into Asia. The performance-based e-mail marketing company did not release the financial terms of its investment in the Chinese e-mail and online marketing company that represents clients such as L’Oreal, DHL and Audi.

LinkShare acquired Traffic Strategies.com. The pay-per-action marketing network acquired the privately held Tampa, Florida-based online lead generation firm for an undisclosed sum. Traffic Strategies.com chairman William McClure will retire.

Studiocom hired Jose Acosta as director of video production. The Atlanta-based digital agency hired Acosta from his position as founder and creative director for DoubleRaven.

VSP Vision Care and Republic of Tea tapped EmailLabs to provide e-mail marketing services. The e-mail marketing firm is a subsidiary of J.L. Halsey Corporation.

Moses Robles has launched a new digital marketing firm called Oak Interactive. Robles left Spur Digital to found the agency in Houston, Texas.
