Revenue Science tries to get big in Japan; iProspect to establish San Francisco presence; and Shopping.com loses an exec.
Revenue Science entered a deal with Japanese ad infrastructure provider Digital Advertising Consortium. The deal will see the introduction of behavioral targeting on Yahoo Japan, MSN Japan, and Infoseek, all of which DAC represents in that country.
iProspect tapped Brian Kaminski to lead a new San Francisco presence which is slated to open in July. He’s been with the company for approximately six years, and will be joined in the office by five other iProspect vets, the company said.
Iggy Fanlo, president of worldwide field operations for Shopping.com, has left the company. He has not yet accepted a new position elsewhere.
Carat Fusion hired several media buying, planning and strategy staffers in its New York office. Lauren Ljubicich joins as associate media director, Lindsay Blake as a media supervisor, Garrett Albanese as a media planner, Cynthia Pai as a media planner and Brittany Griggs as an assistant media planner. Their client work will focus on Pfizer and Alberto Culver.
British Airways tapped e-Dialog to handle its email marketing in the UK. The assignment includes strategic and technical support for email sent to Executive Club members and Web site customers.
SpecificMedia named Colleen Dempsey as VP of sales for the Western region. She was most recently Western region VP of sales for Vendare Media.
BackBeat Media, a blog and podcast-focused media network, hired Doug Detlefsen as sales director. Detlefsen was an associate publisher with IDG.
