Ciceron names a director of business development; Optimost adds three to client roster; iProspect relocates to larger offices.

Internet marketing firm Ciceron hired Rob Silas as director of business development. In his last post, Silas was VP of sales and marketing with Agent 77, a healthcare software firm. He has also held marketing and sales management roles with Tennant Company, Hoffman Engineering, Wells Fargo and HighJump Software.

Three companies have signed on with Optimost to test permutations of Web copy, offers, layouts, and other site features. The new clients to use Optimost’s ASP services include financial services firm Bankrate, Palo Alto Software, a developer of software for small businesses and DVD backup firm 321 Studios.

“We’re analyzing every element of customer interaction, everything from page headlines to the presence/absence of particular buttons, to better understand what improves conversion,” said Elisabeth DeMarse, president and CEO of Bankrate.

In response to what it described as “tremendous growth,” search engine marketing firm iProspect is moving to new offices. Later this month, the company will relocate to a 25,000 square foot facility in Watertown, Mass., roughly five miles from its current offices in Arlington.
