Google lures government type for marketing job; mOne Worldwide hires media director; and AKQA will debut Web site for Xbox 360.
Google hired Dan Senor as VP of global communications and strategy. Senor was a senior advisor to Paul Bremer, the former U.S. administrator in Iraq. He replaces Cindy McCaffrey, who left earlier this year. Prior to his advisory role, Senor was director of the Coalition Information Center for the Iraq war.
Digital and direct media network mOne Worldwide hired Suhaila Suhimi-Waldner as senior partner and media director, overseeing its global brand team in New York. Suhimi-Waldner joins from Media Contacts, the digital and direct media arm of MPG, where she was VP and group account director.
L.A.-based digital agency Big Interactive won the redesign of the Grateful Dead Web site. Grateful Dead Productions awarded the assignment after a multi-agency review.
Plus Three, an integrated marketing firm serving U.S. political organizations and non-profits, hired Eric Folley as director of technology for its D.C. office. Folley was Internet operations director for the Democratic National Committee, where he was the lead developer for democrats.org.
AKQA has designed and will launch a Web site for Microsoft’s much-hyped debut of the Xbox 360. The agency, which also worked with Microsoft on the console gaming system’s user interface, says the site, at xbox360.com,”will encourage users to work together to get to the ‘core’ of the site.”
Bigfoot Interactive hired Robert Schwartz as managing director of client services. Schwartz was VP of online and affinity marketing for Chase Home Finance, a division of JPMorgan Chase. Earlier, he was VP of marketing at Prudential Financial.
MediaSpan Group, a Web marketing firm serving local media companies, tapped Winstar Interactive Media to rep national ad space on its 1,100 local radio and newspaper sites. Network advertisers can mix and match format, geography and daypart criteria.
Arial Software joined the E-mail Service Provider Coalition. The coalition only recently expanded membership privileges beyond service providers to include other email solutions firms.
WebEx tapped WebSideStory’s HBX analytics service to enhance online marketing and generate leads. WebEx is conducting A/B testing with HBX to measure various design and promotional elements.
VerticalResponse will be a reseller of Return Path’s bonded sender program. Thousands of ISPs, corporate domains and universities recognize the program.
