FindWhat.com promotes Marketing Director Yagnesak; Poindexter Systems names Interpublic veteran to CFO post; Brightmail names new board member.

FindWhat.com promoted Marketing Director Karen Yagnesak to VP of marketing and communications. Yagnesak joined the search player in April 2002, before which she led marketing for Goldfarb Consultants, a marketing research firm that merged with Millward Brown in 2002.

Web optimization player Poindexter Systems hired Interpublic veteran Debra Mason as chief financial officer. Mason was most recently executive VP and CFO of Interpublic’s NFO WorldGroup research subsidiary. She served in numerous other executive posts with the Interpublic Group of Companies, including as CFO at Jack Morton Worldwide.

“She is a proven leader and will add tremendous value to our organization as we continue to scale our business,” said Poindexter Chairman and CEO Rich Person.

Jeffry Allen has joined Brightmail’s board of directors. Allen is executive VP of business operations at Network Appliance, which he joined eight years ago as CFO.

“Jeff brings decades of both financial and operational experience in the technology industry that will be incredibly valuable to Brightmail,” said Enrique Salem, president and CEO of Brightmail.

George Garrick, former chief executive of ad network Flycast, was named CEO of Wine.com. Garrick held the reins at Flycast during a period that saw its revenues grow from $2 million to over $40 million. The company was acquired by CMGI in 2000.
