Coremetrics signs Aeropostale; SocialMedia Advertising hires Nick Gonzalez; AT&T's March Madness Powered by Crisp.
Longtime CBS executive Jeff Sellinger was named EVP of CBS Mobile. He replaces Cyriac Roeding, who has left the Peacock to pursue entrepreneurial endeavors. Sellinger has been SVP of the mobile division since December 2007 and worked in the unit since fall of 2005 as director and then VP.
Zeta Interactive has opened headquarters in New York and a marketing division in Tampa, Fla.. CEO Al Di Guido, who is a ClickZ columnist, will work from the New York headquarters. In Tampa, CMO Carla McLeod will run the offices and the interactive marketing services group. Zeta Interactive’s most recent client wins include Allergan/Botox and The Weather Channel.
Mike Lombardi was named VP of advertising sales and marketing at WeatherBug. Lombardi has been at WeatherBug since 2005, holding the title VP of East Coast sales and VP of National Sales. His previous experience was at Undertone Networks and Bloomberg Media.
Purple@Epsilon named Julia Wasson SVP of marketing operations. Wasson will oversee strategic marketing, branding, collateral development, lead generation and events. Before joining Purple@Epsilon, she was an independent consultant.
Click Forensics appointed Paul Pellman as CEO. Pellman was VP of Consumer Direct for Terra Lycos. He also served as CEO for two early stage startups.
CraveOnline recruited two sales pros from Fox Interactive’s IGN. Derek Rudd and Varvara Althouse were hired to the CraveOnline sales team. Rudd is VP of consumer ad sales, he was previously VP of North American sales at Piczo, and VP of consumer ad sales at IGN Entertainment. Althouse joins CraveOnline as West Coast account executive. He was previously regional account manager at IGN, where he covered IGN, GameSpy.com, Rottentomatoes.com, and AskMen.com for the Southwest territory.
Coremetrics will provide optimization services to Aeropostale. The solution allows the retailer’s e-commerce sites to allocate marketing spend across paid search, e-mail, banner ads, and other channels. It also plans to strengthen its on-site search, cross-sell recommendations, and fraud reconciliation through the use of Coremetrics’ services.
Nick Gonzalez, formerly of TechCrunch, joined SocialMedia Advertising Network. Gonzalez will hold the position developer relations manager, where he will work with experienced and new developers and advertisers to demonstrate SocialMedia’s ad platform. He will also contribute to the company blog.
AT&T selected Crisp wireless to power its NCAA March Madness tournament. AT&T will offer a dedicated mobile content portal for NCAA Men’s Division I, or NCAA March Madness, which Crisp will run.
BusinessWeek.com joined Aggregate Knowledge’s user-driven Pique Discovery Window network.
Relationship marketing firm MicroMass Communications hired Jeff Burkell as chief operating officer, a newly created role. Burkel has experience in systems and operations management and previously worked at Pittsburgh marketing communications and branding firm Blattner Brunner.
