AKQA names a global creative director; CoolSavings hires a senior VP of marketing; Tacoda appoints a CFO and privacy officer.

AKQA hired Rei Inamoto as global creative director. Inamoto earlier worked at digital agencies R/GA and Blue Marble ACG. He’ll be based in the agency’s newly formed New York office.

CoolSavings hired Matthew Wise as senior VP of marketing Wise was senior VP of account services for direct marketing agency Draft. Earlier he held various management posts with LuckySurf.

The company also promoted Christine McNicholas to senior VP of sales and client services and Brian Pozesky to senior VP and chief analytics officer.

Tacoda hired Mark Pinney as chief financial officer and chief privacy officer, two newly created positions. Pinney recently served as CFO of biotech company Acorda Therapeutics, where he was also a founding director. Earlier he was chairman of CanDo, an Internet company serving people with disabilities.

Tacoda also signed IDG’s InfoWorld to use its Audience Management Service behavioral targeting platform.

PointRoll hired Peter Johnson as director of account management. Johnson was manager of Eyeblaster’s agency services team.

WildTangent created a branded game for FOX show “The O.C.” Called “Skate the O.C.,” the online skateboarding game promotes the launch of the show’s second season.

24/7 Real Media signed Herald Interactive to use its Open AdStream Central ad serving platform. The Herald Interactive network of sites includes Web destinations for the Boston Herald, four suburban dailies, and 89 weekly community newspapers.

AskMen.com made Interep Interactive as its exclusive national ad sales representative. Interep Interactive also recently signed PlasmaNet’s FreeLotto.com, also focused on the male demographic.
