Geary Interactive creates online sweepstakes for Sony film; Xylem launches site for Best Buy's Geek Squad

Geary Interactive created an online sweepstakes for Sony Pictures film “Stranger Than Fiction.” Banners on Netflix.com point to a microsite where visitors are asked to share their own “strange but true” tales for a chance to win movie tickets.

Interactive agency Anda-Burghardt tapped VitalStream to provide Flash video streaming for a tourism campaign promoting Carmel-by-the-Sea in California. Seven videos show the history of Carmel to Web visitors.

Best Buy-owned Geek Squad tapped Xylem Interactive to create a microsite centered on the IT services brand’s wi-fi offerings. The playful site includes a “Bill of Wireless Rights.”

The Cimarron Group’s launched a campaign for The City of Santa Barbara, including online and print executions, plus a microsite. The site includes a feature whereby people can send an e-card to friends with various Santa Barbara images and activities.

FUN Technologies tapped Peter Blacklow to be president of its FUN Games Division. The role includes oversight of consumer advertising. He was previously SVP of marketing for Monster.
