R/GA launches racing game and tournament for Subaru; Yahoo! hires a retail category development officer.

R/GA launched an online racing game and tournament for Subaru. The Subaru Impreza Shakedown Game Competition at imprezashakedown.com is a 3D Flash creation “designed to help showcase the performance benefits of the 2006 Impreza.” Site visitors play in four stages, and the top 30 racers will advance to a championship round.

Yahoo hired Jayne Spiegelman as category development officer for the retail industry. Spiegelman was EVP of enterprise system sales for AdSpace Networks, leading the retail division. She co-founded Web photo service Shutterfly.

Noah Elkin has joined iCrossing as senior analyst relations manager. Elkin was formerly an analyst with eMarketer.

SelectBlinds.com tapped LinkShare to manage its affiliate marketing program. The company is a retailer of blinds and shades.
