Scripps promotes Peterman to SVP of interactive media; Advertising.com promotes Stirratt to lead all ad sales; Atmosphere BBDO names an ECD.

Scripps promoted Tim Peterman to SVP of interactive media. The company described Peterman, who has served as VP of corporate development since 2002, as a driving force behind its acquisitions of Shopzilla and Shop At Home.

Advertising.com promoted Nada Stirratt to SVP and GM of ad sales. Stirratt was previously head of publisher operations, and was an integral player in the company’s sale to AOL in August.

Atmosphere BBDO hired Michael Aimette as executive creative director. He has spent 10 years at BBDO New York, and Atmosphere describes him as a key contributor on many interactive pitches.

Avenue A | Razorfish created an “Ajaxy” home search site for HouseValues. The site, at HomePages.com, offers real estate discovery similar to what can be found on the Google Maps/Craigslist mash-up HousingMaps.com.

Postini hired VeriSign vet Quentin Gallivan as president and CEO. Gallivan joined VeriSign in 1997 and was most recently its SVP of worldwide sales and services.

Whittmanhart won interactive marketing duties for Roto-Rooter. Initial work will focus on the client’s Web site and CRM program.

Massive Inc. hired Eric Clemenceau as VP of sales for continental Europe. Clemenceau has sold media extensively for Turner Broadcasting and its CNN, Cartoon Network, Turner Classic Movies, and Boomerang properties.

Pay-per-call service eStara hired John Federman to lead the company as CEO. Federman was the chief executive for Dotomi.

Also in pay-per-call, Jambo hired Richard Rosen as VP of business development. He held similar roles at CallSource and Homestore.

iKnowtion hired Sha Hsing Min as a senior marketing analyst. He was most recently director of database marketing and analytics at Upromise.

ExactTarget promoted Scott Thomas to director of new markets. Thomas joined the company in 2002 and was most recently manager of client and employee training. He will lead its expansion into Australia and Canada.

Digital commerce platform BitPass hired Doug Knopper as CEO. Knopper was SVP and general manager at Doubleclick.

Accipiter hired Lou Severine as director of Northeast sales. Severine held several posts at online direct marketing firm Digital Impact
