SEMDirector names Powell to head sales; Starcom hires a video innovation director; Adify coaxes David Courtney from TiVo.

SEMDirector hired Brett Powell as SVP of sales and promoted Matt McGee to regional VP. The search marketing automation firm hired Powell from MarketTools where he was general manager of sales. McGee was previously a sales director.

Starcom USA hired Chris Allen as VP, video innovation director. Allen was previously a VP with GSD&M.

Adify hired David Courtney as president, COO and CFO. The vertical advertising network technology provider hired Courtney from TiVo’s Corporate Products and Services Group, where he was CFO. Adify also hired Antra Picard as a regional sales director.

R/GA hired Darren Savage as planning director for its London office. Savage was previously head of strategic planning at AKQA in London.

Creature hired Tom O’Connor as associate creative director. The Seattle-based creative agency hired O’Connor from Wieden+Kennedy Portland.

Kaboose hired two execs. The family-focused online media company named Mike Green VP of business development and Teresa Hsiao VP of marketing.

Gift & Home Channel selected Adtech US for digital ad serving.
