YCD hired Barry Salzman as CEO. The company provides digital content delivery and”on-site brand building.” Salzman was chief operating officer for comparison shopping site ShopWiki, and earlier in his career was president of DoubleClick’s global media businesses.

Travel Ad Network promoted two execs. Scott Cherkin, previously director of business development, is now VP of business and product development. Neil Strow, senior director of East Coast sales, was boosted to VP national advertising sales. Both are based in New York.

Operative appointed Benjamin Reid vice president, sales engineering. The online advertising system provider hired Reid from About.com, where he most recently served as vice president of sales operations.

Medio Systems appointed Ben Tatton-Brown as head of advertising sales for Europe. The mobile search and advertising provider created the position for Tatton-Brown as part of its push into Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The Cleveland Foundation tapped Optiem for a new Web site. The new site for the community endowment organization includes RSS feeds, leadership blogs, podcasts and other features.

MyBuys, a “behavioral recommendation” company, appointed Ashok Srivastava to its board of advisors. Srivastava is currently the principal investigator of the Integrated Vehicle Health Management Project at NASA and group leader of the Intelligent Data Understanding group at NASA Ames Research Center.
