The awareness building and fundraising effort includes a “virtual American flag” users can add their personalized signature to. Banner ads will run in conjunction with TV, radio, print and outdoor advertising by TBWAChiatDay. Agency.com’s involvement is pro bono.

iCrossing promoted three senior staffers. Jorie Hutchings becomes senior director of search analytics, Lisa Ponte Fazio becomes VP of market research, and Aaron Wixom becomes senior manager of research.

The McClatchy Company intends to consolidate the bulk of its West Coast digital sales in Raleigh, North Carolina, according to several reports. The company did not immediately return calls seeking confirmation.

NetShelter hired Warren Jansons as VP of sales for its NetShelter Branded Network. Jansons was most recently the sales manager for Communicator Corp, a European digital marketing software company.

Lifestyle destination CraveOnline.com hired David Cohn as SVP of ad sales. Cohn was VP of digital media sales for World Wrestling Entertainment.

Ask.com is opening an R&D center in Germany, and hired Eric Heymann to lead the development team there as director of global content acquisition. Heymann was previously the head of technology at Seekport
