MIVA hires former Bluestreak head as COO; Knight Ridder exec goes to Tacoda.

MIVA, formerly FindWhat, hired Peter Corrao as its chief operating officer. Phillip Thune, who has been COO since November 2000, will stay on as president, a role he’s filled for close to a year.

Corrao was CEO of online ad technology firm Bluestreak, which he left more than two years ago. Before that, he led Cogit Corporation.

Knight Ridder Digital’s Hugh McGoran has joined Tacoda as VP of Eastern ad sales for its Audience Network. He was most recently VP of national advertising for KRD’s Real Cities network. Other posts included regional VP of advertising for KnightRidder.com and director of online advertising at the Philadelphia Inquirer and Daily News.

Infinium Labs, developer of online gaming service Phantom, promoted Greg Castronuovo to VP of marketing. Castronuovo was VP of national promotions and brand activation at Virgin Mobile USA and VP of marketing for World Wrestling Entertainment.

Fishbowl, a marketing firm serving the hospitality industry, hired Andrea Von Utter as SVP, a new post. Von Utter was head of marketing for The Palm Restaurant.
