Microsoft's Picard promoted; ATTIK hires seven.

Eric Picard has been named director of advertising strategy and emerging media planning at Microsoft Digital Advertising Solutions. Formerly senior product planner in Microsoft’s MSN monetization and ad planning group, Picard is now responsible for developing Microsoft’s corporate level advertising strategy from a business and technology standpoint. Before working with Microsoft, Eric was founder and director of product management at ad technology firm Bluestreak.

Creative agency ATTIK has brought seven new staffers into its San Francisco flock. Chris Streeter, previously with Gap, was hired as print production manager; new Senior Flash Developer Pete Shirmer was most recently senior interactive developer at MRM
Partners; new Interactive Producer Denise Czaja hails from imc; Mary Michael Pringle, the firm’s new copywriter, previously held a similar role at Butler, Shine, Stern and Partners; Junior Art Director Mina Buehler Monnee has done freelance work in the past for Wieden+Kennedy and others; ATTIK’s new junior designers Jonathan Burkett and Ryan Lee hail from Kaluza und Schmid of Berlin and Delphi Productions, respectively.

VitalStream Holdings, Inc. has chosen Patrick Ritto as its new CTO. Previously director of software engineering at Overland Storage, Inc., Ritto is charged with heading up VitalStream’s worldwide product development and technical operations, and expanding its technology platform.

In an effort to expand beyond Europe, Frankfurt-based ad technology firm Adtech is opening a New York office. Nils Winkler, the firm’s head of sales will run the midtown office.

Web Analytics outfit ClickTracks Analytics has opened offices in Cambridge, England and Belgium, and hired two sales managers to head up the new locations. The U.S.-based firm has hired Steve Price, recent VP of sales at ClickStream Technologies, as UK sales manager. Previous consultant to ClickTracks, Hans Bruinsma, will lead the Belgian office as European Sales Manager.

R.H. Donnelley, publisher of the print and online editions of AT&T Yellow Pages and Dex Yellow Pages, has chosen Cramer-Krasselt as its AOR from a list of 16 contenders, in order to bring all its advertising efforts under one roof. The publisher acquired local search marketing consulting firm LocalLaunch earlier this month.

NeoMedia Technologies, Inc.’s mobile marketing firm 12snap AG has opened an office in Istanbul to tap into the country’s young mobile-savvy market. Ercan Kilic, former director of marketing and business development at Germany’s IN-telegence, will run the new office.
