Execs & Accounts: GSI Commerce, Toys 'R' Us, Nokia, Inform

GSI Commerce expands its marketing agreement with Toys 'R' Us, Nokia makes a deal with Mobile Content Networks for mobile search.

GSI Commerce extended and expanded its marketing services agreement with Toys ‘R’ Us. GSI will provide digital marketing services through GSI Interactive including e-mail marketing, paid search, online advertising, affiliate marketing, content creation, and interactive design.

Nokia selected Mobile Content Networks to power WidSets Search for its mobile users. Nokia will use MCN’s white label search platform to support the handset manufacturer’s universe of content and widgets across its network. Nokia has called its mobile content consumption, creation, and sharing service in Europe WidSets.

Inform Technologies named Josh Kirschner chief marketing officer. At Inform, Kirschner will develop new channels for the company’s Semantec Web technology for online media properties. He was most recently at Marsh Inc., where he was SVP, global product development.

Nine radio groups partnered with TargetSpot for Internet radio advertising services. Included in the radio groups are Pamal Broadcasting (Albany, NY); Capitol Broadcasting (Raleigh, NC); Riviera Broadcast Group (Las Vegas and Phoenix, AZ); CD101 (Columbus, OH); RadioIO; MaxMedia (Virginia Beach and Norfolk, VA); CBM Broadcasting (Myrtle Beach, SC); and Mediaguide’s Beyond Frequency Network, which will be launched soon for college, commercial, and specialty radio.

London-based agency Golley Slater Digital promoted John Kinder to managing director. Kinder was previously commercial director, and had joined the agency in early 2005 as new business director. Kinder started his online career in 1997 as part of the launch team for Nownet, the ISP part of Keycom.
