Execs & Accounts: GSI Interactive, Mediaedge:cia, Local.com

GSI Interactive hired Jan Dobris to head up operations: six senior partners named at Mediaedge:cia; two hired at Local.com.

GSI Interactive names VP of operations. Jan Dobris was named VP of operations at gsi interactive, the creative unit of GSI Commerce. Dobris worked as senior vice president and chief financial officer of G2 Interactive, part of WPP’s G2 Worldwide global marketing services.

Mediaedge:cia names six senior partners. Alison Coley is now senior partner, account director; Christina Dagnello was elected senior partner, account director; Ann McGrath is now senior partner, director of client services of MEC Retail; Jessica Michaels was awarded the title senior partner, group director; Colleen Soriano was named senior partner, group director; and Jill Toscano is now senior partner, account director.

Local.com grows its management team. Scott Reinke, general counsel, most recently served as EVP for Emerging Media Group, which own operates Traffiq. Ken Cragun, vice president of finance, previously worked at modular building manufacturer Modtech Holdings as CFO.

Thomas Deierlein joins Simulmedia. Deierlein has been named chief operating officer of the Dave Morgan-founded ratings and effectiveness company. Deierlein previously served as vice president, global corporate development of Millward-Brown, which he joined through the acquisition of Dynamic Logic.

Brand Affinity Technologies enters local ad agreement with Centro. Celebrity athlete agency Brand Affinity Technologies, which recently inked a deal with Microsoft to lend athletes’ likenesses to online ads, will work with Centro in a similar capacity. Centro, which provides media planning and buying, has signed Ford Motors as its first advertiser and will run ads for Ford Fusion with Detroit Red Wings’ captain Nicklas Lidstrom in that team’s market.

Breyers airs Webisodes created by Oddcast. Breyers worked with Oddcast to create the Web site SmoothandDreamy.com, where Webisodes staring actress Jane Krakowski run against classic films “Gone with the Wind” and “King Kong.” Site visitors can also upload photos to insert their likenesses into the action.

Hachette Filipacchi promotes John Weisgerber. He goes from VP, director of digital advertising, to the role of VP, integrated sales and marketing. In his new post Weisgerber will concentrate on integrated sales and marketing, corporate research, and special marketing.

South Florida Interactive Marketing Association names new lead. Taigh White was named president of SFIMA through 2010. He is assistant vice president, online marketing manager for BankAtlantic.
