Execs & Accounts: GSI, Pepperjam, JHG

GSI Acquires an affiliate marketing network. GSI Commerce, which offers e-commerce technology and agency services, acquired “certain assets” of Pepperjam’s affiliate marketing network and its full-service interactive marketing agency. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

In making the announcement, GSI CEO Michael G. Rubin said GSI’s affiliate marketing channel generated more than $100 million in sales of behalf of its clients. “By owning our own affiliate network, we believe we can more rapidly drive innovation and service enhancements to our clients,” he said in a prepared statement. Pepperjam, based in Wilkes-Barre, PA, has 48 employees. It will operate as a separate business unit of GSI Interactive, reporting to Nick Pahade, president of GSI Interactive.

California-based digital marketing agency JHG partnered with JVC Mobile Entertainment. The two will work together to increase awareness of the audio and video equipment firm’s “Turn Me On 2” contest on SPIN.com. Winners of the contest, which combines a Twitter element, will receive JVC Mobile in-car electronics.

Media firm Tribeca Enterprises has hired Todd Green. Green will serve as VP for strategic partnerships at the multi-platform media firm. Most recently at Rainbow Media, he is charged with building a network of Tribeca branded content including feature films and short films, and creating marketing offerings for filmmakers, advertisers, and sponsors.

E-mail firm Pivotal Veracity has named Jordan Cohen as senior director of marketing and public relations. Cohen was most recently served at Goodmail Systems as senior director of marketing communications and industry relations. He is responsible for increasing awareness and demand for Pivotal’s products.
