Execs & Accounts: Microsoft, JWT, R/GA

Microsoft awarded its business focused advertising duties to JWT. The agency won out in a creative review that included several agencies. McCann Erickson lost the business but remains a Microsoft partner.

R/GA London promoted James Temple to executive creative director. Temple will provide strategic direction and promote standards to the multi-disciplinary team. He was promoted from creative director on the Nokia account.

Yahoo Mobile struck an ad rep deal with U.K. carrier 3. Yahoo will exclusively sell banners and sponsored links inventory for the mobile carrier.

Yahoo and MerchantCircle entered a partnership. MerchantCircle will promote Yahoo-specific products to its online business network. The program is set to begin at the end of the summer.

FeedBurner’s Charley Cassell joined Vibes Media as CFO. Cassell was CFO of FeedBurner through the Google acquisition and held a variety of roles at Yahoo, including senior director of business operations for the communications products business unit.

Optiem hired an SEM specialist. Jennifer Vojta, search engine marketing specialist in Optiem’s digital media department, previously worked as sales and marketing manager at Zorebo Interactive.

Wizzard Media signed a podcast publishing and advertising deal with Spike TV. Spike TV will use Wizzard’s LibsynPRO 2.0 service for the network’s original series “Factory.”

ExactTarget named two to its board of directors. Matthew Ferguson, president and CEO of CareerBuilder.com, and Timothy Mauldin, managing partner of Medical Innovation Partners, both join the board.
