Rebecca Lieb takes a position at Econsultancy. U.K.-based Econsultancy hired Lieb, former ClickZ VP and editor-in-chief, to serve as vice president. She will oversee the launch of the company’s U.S. division based in New York. Lieb led ClickZ’s editorial direction for over seven years. She will continue on as a ClickZ Experts columnist.
Mercedes-Benz USA tapped Razorfish to be its digital agency of record as it prepares to launch its 2010 vehicles, including the E-Class sedan. The Microsoft-owned agency won the account after a three-month review involving five other agencies. The business previously belonged to Toronto-based Critical Mass. The assignment includes digital marketing strategy, creative services, media planning, and web site development. It will be handled out of Razorfish’s New York office.
MTV Networks and Panache partner on in-video ads. Panache wil deploy its platform across MTVN’s Web sites to enable measurable online video ads across MTV.com, VH1.com, Nick.com, and CMT.com.

Lane Buschel has been tapped to lead the practice as president.
Mara Sternthal joined Ascent Media’s Global Media Exchange. Sternthal was named senior vice president of business development at the organization. Before joining Ascent, Sternthal consulted for entertainment and new media clients, specializing in content acquisition and programming strategies, new revenue opportunities, negotiating partnerships, and alliances. Her clients included VCs and institutional investors, and media and technology companies such as Microsoft.

Leslie Campisi was named vice president and partner of Affect Strategies, a public relations and strategic marketing firm based in New York.
