[sub] MRM Worldwide gets an account for dog food; Starwood renews its media account with Razorfish, and TBWAChiatDay New York promotes Jamie Gallo.
MRM Worldwide is advertising for the dogs. MRM Worldwide won lead digital advertising duties for Nestlé Purina’s dog food brand Chef Michael’s. The account was awarded after a review with a competitive review of undisclosed agencies.
Starwood Hotels selects Razorfish as its digital AOR. Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide retained Razorfish to handle its media planning and buying, search engine marketing, strategy, planning, creative, and metrics measurement. The contract is a continuation, and includes work with all Starwood brands including Le Méridien, Westin, Sheraton, W, St. Regis, The Luxury Collection, Four Points by Sheraton, Aloft and Element, and Starwood Preferred Guest.
TBWAChiatDay New York appoints Jamie Gallo president. Gallo will oversee the office and clients such as Absolut, Cablevision, Dial, hotels.com, Jameson Irish Whiskey, Michelin, Nivea, Schering-Plough, Skittles, Snickers, and Starburst. Gallo was previously managing director of the office. Prior to TBWA, Gallo was global account director on BMW Motorcycles and Fila at Merkley/Newman/Harty. He left to become partner and cofounder of the Blum Network, a creative syndicate working on accounts including ABC News & Sports, RC & Diet Rite Cola, and RJR.
Former Jupiter analyst goes to Interpret. Michael Gartenberg joined Interpret as vice president of strategy and analysis. Gartenberg specializes in research and analysis in personal technology, and will work closely with Interpret’s practice in the video games, mobile, theatrical/home entertainment, digital media, and advertising sectors. He was previously vice president and research director of Jupiter Research, which is now owned by Forrester Research.
The Washtington Post and Trulia partner on real estate listings. The two companies entered a multi-year, co-branded relationship to create a guide to real estate in the Washington, DC, region with a companion Web site.
Panasonic will use Bazaarvoice to hear customers. The consumer electronics brand signed up for Ratings & Reviews and BrandVoice services from Bazaarvoice. Reviews will be available on Panasonic.com and on participating retail sites.
Travel Ad Network picks up two publishers. ExpertFlyer and PlanetEye joined the Travel Ad Network.
IDG’s GamePro Media hires Marci Yamaguchi Hughes. Yamaguchi Hughes was named executive vice president and general manager of GamePro, publisher of GamePro Magazine and GamePro.com. Most recently she served as senior vice president of sales for the game group of Ziff Davis Media. She currently serves on the board of governors at MI6, the Association of Electronic Interactive Marketers, and organizer of the MI6 conference.
