Organic promotes Turinas; National Public Radio taps Operative; Brightcove signs up Glam Media.

Organic promoted Adam Turinas to EVP, client engagement in the New York office.Turinas leads the Bank of America account, managing a multi-disciplinary team in creating digital experiences. He had been senior VP, client engagement.

Tremor Media named Mark Pinney CFO and expanded to European markets. Pinney, former CFO and chief privacy officer of Tacoda, will act as global CFO. The move is made possible by an investment from the European Founders Fund.

Operative was retained by National Public Media’ online properties.The vendor will provide sponsorship and underwriting workflow automation NPM’s online properties that include National Public Radio, PBS, and all public radio and television stations around the country.

Brightcove signed Glam Media to its network. The partnership provides video programming and monetization across the Glam Media network. Glam Media also partnered with content providers including E Online, Sony BMG, Lifetime Networks, CelebTV, and TV Guide Broadband.

Chitika will provide its Premium Ads ad unit on b5media network sites. Chitika’s ads will be available to the entire network of over 350 Web sites and blogs with topics such as entertainment, nets, business, technology, and sports.

Microsoft appointed John Vassalo to the newly-created position of VP of EU affairs and associate general counsel. Vassalo served as senior counsel and director of European affairs at General Electric. At Microsoft he will be responsible for leading the company’s EU corporate affairs regulatory team.

Dollar Thrifty Automotive selected Responsys for its e-mail marketing provider.

WorldNow and JS-Kit partner to provide rich media and Web community services to Local TV Web sites. The deal offers JS-Kit community-enabling services for WorldNow-powered local media properties. Those include over 300 sites from the likes of ABC, Cox, Gray, Landmark, Lin, and Raycom.
